Hi Ly and Martin,

Just a note to thank you and Martin for organising our wonderful holiday and also taking the time to come to meet us in Hanoi.  Apart from the little car accident outside Hanoi (which is a quite a story to tell the folks at home) and the torrential rain in Hoi An, everything went very, very smoothly!

Every driver you organised was always there waiting for us;  the guides were also terrific - very knowledgeable, able to communicate well and also quite happy to give us an insight into their daily lives.

We also enjoyed all the hotels, however the highlight was definitely the Hoi An Riverside Resort!  What a superb location, great food and warm and attentive staff.  Unfortunately we experienced quite a lot of rain when we were there and although we couldn't enjoy lazing around their beautiful pool, it didn't stop us getting out and about...  we bought some rubber thongs, rolled up our jeans and jumped the puddles in Hoi An! 

The only very slight hotel "downer" was that our first room at the Quoc Hoa in Hanoi was a little noisy - however the lovely staff and the great breakfast certainly made up for it. 

Our only regret is that we didn't ask you to organise a hotel room in HCMC for our last day in Vietnam...  we only thought about it on the flight down.  We had a pretty early start that day, flying out of Danang at 8.00 am however our return flight to Sydney didn't depart until 9.40 pm.  Fortunately though we fronted up to the Information Counter at the airport and after quite a number of calls to various hotels, they were able to find us a room for the day at the Saigon Hotel.  This worked out quite well as we were able to leave our luggage, go out shopping and then return for a nap and shower before going back to the airport at 7.30 pm.
