Mui Ne - Phan Thiet

Home to a 19km stretch of sand, Mui Ne is a picturesque area of low rise beach resorts. The resort is popular with kite boarders and weekenders from nearby Ho Chi Minh City. Many visitors come here merely to relax and enjoy some of the delicious local seafood on offer. However, visitors to the area shouldn't miss the photogenic fishing village at one end with its colourful fleet of fishing boats and coracles. Another popular activity is a visit to the nearby sand dunes where boards can be rented for the fun pastime of ‘dune boarding'.

Formerly part of a Cham kingdom, descendants of which still live in the area, this region contains many relics, which are scattered around the province. One of the most imposing is Po Shanu, which lies 18km south of Mui Ne atop Ba Nai hill. This 8^th century relic shows an architectural fusion of Cham and Khmer styles
