Dear Martin and Ly,
We recently completed our Asia trip that we booked through your company and would like to say that you guys - in particular, Hien did a fantastic job! I realize that she is no longer with your company but I do hope that you pass along our sincere thanks for all her efforts. Hien managed our trip very professionally from beginning to end. She was responsive to my questions and addressed any concerns that I had. The tour guides and drivers that your company contracts with did a wonderful job as well. All tour guides were very proficient in English and pleasant and the drivers all performed their duties in a safe manner. Both the guides and drivers were all on time for our pick ups which was great!

The accommodations were all fantastic. In fact, we were blown away by the Holiday Inn in Bangkok. Speaking of hotels, we were especially appreciative of Hien's efforts to book us one more night at Green Plaza in Danang in light of the typhoon, and work with Furama Resort to cancel our 1 of 2 nights reservation. Without even being prompted - Hien advised us of the refund for the Furama night, and we received our refund as promised when we arrived in HCMC.

Our only suggestion is to maybe use a different tour company in Phuket. We found the guides to be rather pushy and several times they attempted (and successfully so one time) to take us to a cashew factory and gem stone factory that was not on the itinerary, clearly an attempt to earn commission, and unfortunately, a waste of our time.

Also, another thing that is great about your company is that we did not have to make a full payment until we arrived in Vietnam. This made us feel like you are not a fly by the night operation and that we could see with our own eyes that there is an actual business. Of course, with so many scams out there, we really wanted to ensure that we were dealing with a reputable company - and you have more than proven that you are!

We would like to let you know that if we ever travel to Asia again, we wouldn't hesitate to book through you again and have already recommended your company to family and friends. We will also be posting a review of Tonkin Travel on Trip Advisor.
